Stump Grinding

Removing a stump with your bear hands sounds… like maybe not the most efficient way. We have a dedicated forestry machine known as stump grinder that mulches tree stumps. Don’t worry, we clean up the mess before we consider the job done.

What does stump grinding cost?

Typically we use the per inch method to structure our prices.

Use the diagram below and measure across the stump at the longest path. Then multiply by $5/inch.

For stump grinding you can expect to pay a $100 minimum for us to visit, and that is applied to the measurement shown above.

Ex 1: A tree stump measuring 15” would come out to $75, but would be subject to our $100 minimum.

Ex 2: 5 tree stump each measuring 15” would come out to $375, and the $100 minimum would not be applicable.

Ex 3: One tree stump that is 73” and is a more difficult wood type to grind. We may charge a higher per inch rate such as $7-9/inch due to increased mulching’s to haul away and increased time to complete the project. In this case we may charge as high as $657, but that would be a large project, don’t you think?
